Nuclear Dawn For Mac
Interwave Games revealed today more details about their upcoming FPS/RTS hybrid game. Nuclear Dawn is being developed by Interwave’s internal team and is slated for a September release on PC and Mac. Players will take the role of a soldier and will explore war-torn post-apocalyptic landscapes that are modelled on modern cities. As the commander on the other hand, players will be able to organize their fellow players in squads, and assign them to tactical objectives.
The game will feature ten distinct load-outs to accomplish your objectives, first person shooter perspective that promises to deliver a hard, fast and unforgiving gaming experience, two factions, squad-based 32 player battle modes, four classes and six maps.
The first person shooter action in Nuclear Dawn is hard, fast and unforgiving, with weapons that rely on skill and tactics more than on twitch reflexes and map memorization. Nuclear Dawn is powered by the Source Engine and the company will simultaneously release its Development Kit for the community. It will also support Steam Cloud, Steamplay and will feature 60 ranks and 12 unlocks for each weapon.

- Mac OS X: 10.6.7 CPU: 2.4. Their only previous work seems to be a Half-Life 2 mod which makes Nuclear Dawn their first actual game. And as far as first efforts go it's impressive indeed. At its core the game is an intense multiplayer shooter with a fairly solid real time strategy element overlaid in every match. There's a brief story not.

Two factions: The Empire and the Consortium have completely separate base-building paradigms.

Advanced Weaponry: As a commander, judiciously dispense healing to your troops, and death to their enemies, by managing your advanced abilities.
Stats and Unlocks: 60 ranks, 12 unlocks for each weapon, achievements, gizmos and more.
SDK: Nuclear Dawn Software Development Kit will be available for the community to be able to create custom maps, etc.
Source Powered: Based on the L4D2 engine and modified to bring you the ultimate online battle experience.
Steam Powered: Available for both Mac and PC through Steamplay with Steam Cloud support.

O confronto acontece entre as facções The Consortium of Free States e The People's Empire. O grande trunfo do jogo, no entanto, está na mistura de elementos característicos dos jogos de ação em primeira pessoa com os de estratégia em tempo real.
